About the Lynne Middleton
I have been a speech pathologist for 30 years. My work gives me the privilege of sharing in children's delight and working alongside insightful, imaginative and committed parents and teachers of children with communication challenges on a daily basis. Helping children to improve their relationships with others by communicating effectively, both in a written and oral form, benefits our entire community. We know that literacy and social communication skills are important early years predictors of adult health.
My husband, Mike and I have five children. My family has given me an appreciation of busy households and has helped me develop achievable, practical and fun approaches to therapy and home practise.
I held the position of President of the Private Speech Pathologists' Association of WA from 2003 to 2008 and I have delivered papers both at a national and state level evaluating the efficacy of therapy programmes. I am a member of Speech Pathology Australia as Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist.
